Conference venue

The ELL conference will be held at the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages, Veröld, which is located on the University of Iceland campus. The address is Brynjólfsgötu 1, 107 Reykjavík, Iceland.

Accommodation

Tourism in Iceland has grown immensely and moderately-priced lodging is quick to fill up during the summer months. We encourage conference participants to book accommodation as early as possible to avoid high prices and limited availability. Websites such as Booking.com and Airbnb.com will provide information about a range of accommodation possibilities.

We have secured a 15% conference discount for a limited number of rooms at Oddsson Hotel which is about a 15 minute walk from the conference venue. They have a range of room types including dorm and private rooms. The discount applies from June 11-17, 2018 with a 2-night minimum stay.

Travel

Keflavík International Airport (KEF), the main airport in Iceland, is located 40 kilometers from Reykjavík, the capital city. Over 20 airlines offer flights to and from Iceland through the airport.

Transportation to Reykjavík from the airport is available by bus, Flybus or taxi.
