Funding

The Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute receives annual funding from the University of Iceland, but additionally individual companies, institutions and funds have provided sponsorship for special projects.

Apart from a general budget, the aim is to establish as soon as possible a special research fund for the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute in Foreign Languages. Both Icelandic and foreign agencies will be approached for extensive support to provide a sound financial basis for the Institute's research and development projects.
