Professor Richard Wilson, Sir Peter Hall Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Kingston University, London, will give a lecture at the University of Iceland entitled „Come Unto These Yellow Sands: Shakespeare's Other Heading“.
The lecture will take place on Monday 17 November at 11:45-12:45 in room 201 in Oddi at the University of Iceland. All are welcome.
Professor Wilson will discuss Shakespeare and the relations between Europe and Africa, postcolonialism and The Tempest in view of the theories of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida.
Richard Wilson is an internationally recognised literary critic and Shakespeare scholar. Previously based at the University of Lancaster and Cardiff University, Wilson has been a visiting professor at the Sorbonne, a fellow of Shakespeare’s Globe and the academic adviser for the BBC series In Search.
