Hafdís Ingvarsdóttir honoured by the Fédération Internationale des Professeurs de Langues Vivantes

Hafdís Ingvarsdóttir, Professor emerita of Pedagogy of Foreign Languages at the University of Iceland, was honoured by the Fédération Internationale des Professeurs de Langues Vivantes (FIPLV) for her contribution to research on the education of language teachers but also on language learning and language teaching.

Hafdís was awarded the prize upon nomination of STÍL, the Icelandic Federation of Language Teachers. Sigurborg Jónsdóttir, president of Nordic Baltic Region of FIPLV, and Petrína Rós Karlsdóttir, president of STÍL, handed the award at a ceremony which took place in Hannesarholt in Reykjavík on 18 February.

The Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages at the University of Iceland conveys its warm congratulations.
