Guidelines for presenters

Oral presentations

Times and room numbers of presentations are indicated in the conference programme. Oral presentations are allowed 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. The length of talks in colloquia vary according to the sessions, which are 90 or 120 minutes long. A pdf file with the conference abstracts will be available on the conference website.

All the rooms will have computers, internet and projection facilities. Presenters are asked to bring presentation slides on a USB stick and download the presentation on the conference computer prior to the time of presentation. We do not recommend using your own laptop for presentations, especially Mac laptops. Mac users must bring their own connecting cables. Powerpoint clickers will not be provided. If you intend to distribute handouts, you should bring them with you as on-site photocopying resources will not be available.

Poster presentations

Posters presentations are scheduled during the lunch breaks on Wednesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 14. Posters should conform to A0 size (841 x 1189 mm). Pins for mounting the posters will be available. Posters can be hung prior to the sessions and remain hanging throughout the day. Presenters must be at their poster at the time designated in the programme.

Pre-primary workshops

Two practical workshops will be held on the first day of the conference. The workshops are aimed at pre-primary practitioners and will be led by Gunhild Alstad and Roma ChumakHorbatsch. Conference delegates can attend the workshops if space permits.

All conference sessions will be conducted in English. Please remember that many delegates attending will be second language users of English, so allow time for clarifications. We aim to ensure an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
