Japanese Taiko drumming – performance & workshop

On Friday January 17th the Munedaiko Taiko drumming group will give a performance in the main hall in Veröld – House of Vigdís, University of Iceland.

Program:
– Gunnella Þorgeirsdóttir, lecturer in Japanese studies will give a brief introduction of the art of taiko drumming
– Munedaiko taiko performance
– Q&A and informal discussion with Munedaiko

Everyone is welcome and participation is free of charge. No registration is needed.

The event is organized by the Japanese Department at the University of Iceland in collaboration with The Japanese Embassy in Iceland and the Munedaiko group.
