Marion Lerner is an Associate Professor in Translation Studies at the department of Icelandic and Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Iceland.

Marion received her PhD degree in Scandinavian Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2010, a MA degree in Translation Studies from the University of Iceland in 2005, BPh in Icelandic as a second language from the University of Iceland in 2003 and an MA degree in Cultural Studies, Sociology and Education Studies from Humboldt University in 1998.

Marion became a certified Icelandic-German translator in 2010 and holds a diploma as a tourist guide for German-speaking tourists in Iceland from the Iceland Tourist Guide School since 2001.
