Rósa earned her doctoral degree in linguistics at the Sorbonne University in 2016 (joint degree with the University of Iceland). She completed her MA degree in linguistics at the Sorbonne University in 2007 and BA degree in French at the University of Iceland in 2005. In 2009 she obtained a diploma in pedagogy from the University of Iceland.
Rósa’s research interests include bilingual lexicography, translation between French and Icelandic, and French grammar and syntax.
